Synopsis

The ebb and flow of small town life reaches a boiling point on a hot summer Saturday night: Just days before leaving for Nashville, Rhett Ryan discovers that the desire to follow his dream conflicts with his desire to be with Samantha, the woman he loves.

While Samantha does love the singer-songwriter, she starts to realize what's best for her daughter and their future may not be what's best for him. The subtle interconnections of these and other character's lives will bring them all closer together, culminating in Rhett's final performance.

Chris Pine follows up his stellar work in the international blockbuster “Star Trek” with this thoughtful, multi-faceted role of Rhett, which is sure to garner more notice for the actor. He also starred opposite Denzel Washington in Tony Scott’s “Unstoppable," the romantic action "This Means War" with Reese Witherspoon, and Kenneth Branagh's "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" with Kevin Costner and Keira Knightley.
