Synopsis
Young reporter Vivian (Kimberly Liebe) interviews mysterious undertaker Frederick (Chris Kriesa), who tells her the story of deceased mafioso Robert Downing (Daryl Jackson), who was recently buried on his cemetary.
Downing has to procure an ancient relic that is said to have magic powers for a mysterious employer from the house of mafia boss Jimmie Levinson (James Matthews-Pyecha), where a little party is taking place. Levinson has just ordered the brutal murder of his biggest rival’s ,Paul Pattucci, (Joe Cook, who can be seen side by side with Steven Seagal in „Half Past Dead“. Pattucci’ s wife is played by German sex symbol Xenia Seeberg, known from the TV series „LeXX – the Dark Zone“, her second feature film role since „Knocking on Heaven’s Door“) wife. Shortly after his wife’s death, Pattucci’s dead body is found. Levinson takes Robert Downing for a hired killer, who acts by order of Pattucci, so he orders the two ‚cleaners‘ Rick (Thomas Reitmair) and Mortimer (Simon Newby) to come and solve the problem– but in the presence of the relic things begin to spin out of control.
Vivians curiosity is raised, with the result that she now wants to find out the mystery of the relic. Frederick tells her the second story, which takes place in 15th century England. David Deming (David Creedon), a ruthless inquisitor, is hunting presumable heretics in the name of the church together with his brutal henchman Brewster (Russell Friedenberg). As a former disciple of the peaceful monk James Flynn (Hank Stone) he has learned about the ancient relic a long time ago. The magic object has been kept safe in the deep cellars of Flynn’s abbey. Obsessed with the idea of using the relic and its supernatural powers for his evil deeds he stops at nothing, not even at murdering his former master. Deming’s loyal sergeant Dennis (Darren Shahlavi, who could be seen side by side with Eddie Murphy in „I SPY“) disapproves strongly of the atrocities committed by his leader, most of all since he‘s in love with Annabelle (Natacza Soozie Boon) the daughter of a peasant, who is a follower of James Flynn. But Annabelle’s death is part of Deming’s sinister plans and so the tragedy takes its course...
Totally fascinated by the narrations of the undertaker, Vivian realizes much too late, that she is no longer only a listener, but has become part of the uncanny story herself...
