Ryoko Suzuki (Chihiro Shibata), 29, is on an elite life course having earned a graduate degree from the prestigious Tokyo University and employed at a leading newspaper as reporter covering the political scene. Despite such high specs, she carries a past in which she worked as an adult video actress during her student days. She is blessed with a physical beauty that would have gotten her into a top university without much effort, struggle or superior intellect anyway. Nevertheless, as a front line news reporter, she should be leading an indisputably happy and fulfilling life. But she’s bored. Ryoko chooses to stay out all night partying at “host bars” with friends Keiko (Chika Uchida), Yuka (Ami Tomite) and a powerfully rich boyfriend, Hikaru (Atsushi Harada). But even that is not enough, and Ryoko finds herself falling refreshingly in love with a struggling and dedicated musician named Rei (Yuki Kubota). While asserting her conviction that a woman ’s body has repeated market value, Ryoko deep down is in a constant search for the home of her heart. Here is the story of one woman struggling with two very conflicting lives in the hope that it somehow it will yield happiness.
