A young rock and roll band (The Spiders) has a number one hit but suffers a catastrophic breakup when the lead singer quits. After the death of the guitar player, the band disappears into obscurity. Many years later, a reality show producer, loving the dark history, wants the band to reunite. To get back the hated lead singer, their manager is forced to recruit the original producer who is living as a recluse in Thailand. The producer insists the band comes to him, forcing the remaining members to abandon their boring lives to once again chase the rock and roll dream.
