A hotel is going to be built in a small town. The property and the tourism are about to boom, so the whole town falls into a frenzy. Gump is the only one that seems calm. He is a pig farmer whose purposes in life are having numerous piglets and getting his mother to accept his postmenopausal girlfriend. Gump’s mother Lihua is a traditional housewife and spends her life taking care of her paralyzed husband and her children, who either stays unmarried or covets the inheritance. In order to ease her burden, Lihua arranges a marriage between Gump and a young Vietnamese woman Jinzhi, who comes to Taiwan to make money so as to offer her child in Vietnam a better life. In this out-of-control countryside, Jinzhi and Gump ask nothing but simple happiness. Will they find a way to satisfy both of their yearnings?
