'A pleno sol' introduces a typical lovers' story, developed in just one closed set during 10 minutes. The film, recorded in black and white, revisits a classical 'mise en scene' directly related to 'films noir' from the 50's and formally paying tribute to Nouvelle Vague language. The main theme is based on the rebellion of the woman protagonist (Nora), a kind of modern Madame Bovary, versus the reality of her life. This short film was made as a student project in ESCAC's (Cataluña Film School) Master in Filmmaking with 350€, in October 2011. After having a favorable reception among a professional jury in its premiere in Baluarte (Pamplona, Spain), it started being submitted to international contests with the help of Navarra's Government. The dirty aesthetic approach, the rhythm of the edition and the continuous dissonant music, accompany the two actors Cristina Gámiz and Jorge Yamam Serrano in the development of this story of love, lies and rebellion, until everything explodes.
