Synopsis

An ex-political activist is granted indemnity from the Brazilian government for the disappearance of her husband, a victim of the military government’s repression during the dictatorship (1964-1985). With the money, she is able to finally buy her own apartment and free herself from the agony she has suffered for decades, a period in which she was not even recognized as being officially widowed. When she moves to her new home though, a visitor comes who forces her to relive her entire trajectory.
