Struggling to come to terms with the death of her mother, Kim suddenly has to deal with a new mother in her life. In Malay folklore, it is a small child spirit invoked by a Malay witch doctor from a dead human foetus using black magic. It is possible to buy a Toyol from such a bomoh and it is often used for crime. Known to be intensely jealous and needs to be taken care of. Once you own a Toyol, not only are you stuck with it for the rest of your life, but all your descendants will also be condemned to own it.
