Synopsis

The Film Museum of Buenos Aires "Pablo C. Ducros Hicken" has among its film collections the full archive of "Sucesos Intervenidos" (Argentine Events), a very important newsreel which ran from 1938 to 1972, and was presented weekly in the cinemas before the movies.

During 2013, the museum invited a group of twenty five renowned directors to make a series of short films with three different emissions: from 1957, 1965 and 1968, in order to draw attention to the importance of scanning the entire collection.

"Intervened Events" is the remarkable result of this project: a series of unique works, which arise from finding different readings and reinterpretations for those images, which now, under different forms -imprevisibles, fantastic, utopian and distal tópicas- return to cinema screens.
