Synopsis
Kate’s a twenty-three year old single mum with serious money problems. Her new boyfriend Nick offers her a questionable way out. He’s owed £40,000 by a disgraced footballer, and his solution: go and get what’s rightly his. Deep in the wilds of deserted Snowdonia, all Kate must do is keep a look out. Reluctantly she agrees, but he robbery is about to take a dangerous turn.
Kate’s ‘online’ friend Ben works at a local radio station with ‘has-been’ presenter Laurie. Tonight is their last night, and she wants to go out with a bang, but they’re about to get more than they bargained for. With the arrival of medium Carla, things take a chilling turn.
Waiting in the car, Kate realises she’s not alone. An apparition of a murdered girl appears, tormenting Kate, and Nick goes missing inside the farmhouse. Kate must escape from the apparition and find out what has become of Nick.
In the radio station, the group receive voices from beyond the grave through their transmitter. Patching together fragments of ghostly sounds, they begin to unravel the clues to a frightening crime before doing do the unthinkable… make contact with the dead.
The apparition has a name: Sarah – with a message for Kate. She knows who has killed her! Kate goes looking for Nick, but comes face to face with Sarah’s killer, who tortures her and threatens to kill her son, who’s waiting at the radio station.
Kate escapes and drives at high speed to the radio station, arriving to find it empty. Ben has used a delay to cover his murderous rampage.
Ben attacks Kate and takes her unconscious body to a quarry. He splashes petrol over Kate’s car, but she struggles and frees herself. They fight. Sarah appears, startling Ben who is now covered in petrol. Kate picks up Ben’s lighter and throws it towards him. Ben bursts into flames and falls into the petrol-doused car, which explodes in a mushroom of fire and smoke.
Kate returns to the radio station to rescue her son with Laurie’s haunting final broadcast filling the airwaves.
