Synopsis

Louis Cyr, the son of textile workers expatriated to the United States, decides one day to change his destiny and pursue the title of the strongest man in the world.
None of the obstacles to this challenge seem able to stop the athlete in him, but nothing could be further from the truth when it comes to the man himself. A man of little culture and illiterate, Louis Cyr maintains an inferiority complex towards his cherished wife, a lover of arts and letters. His tremendous success pushes him into high society, which only accentuates this awkwardness, saps him psychologically and ends up alienating him from his own daughter.
Louis Cyr is an exceptional man whose exploits propelled him into the realm of Legends. This story is about this mythical hero. It is also the story of an extremely vulnerable man whose harshest battles were fought outside the sports arena.
The story of Louis Cyr, world champion of strength, aims to kindle popular imagination, whilst the story of Louis Cyr, the man, aims straight for the heart.
