Synopsis

Two people of diametrically opposed personalities and situations have a fateful encounter… in jail! When a struggling standup comic, Tobio, (Ryuta Sato, fresh off his memorable performance in ROOKIES: Graduation) meets a lone wolf street thug, Ryuhei (Yusuke Kamiji) in jail, he senses a life-changing moment. Tobio realizes Ryuhei possesses a brilliant comedic timing and asks him to team up with him as his standup partner. A quirky but nevertheless solid new friendship develops that ignites newfound zeal in both lives. Tobio falls back in love with his ex-girlfriend, Yumiko (Satomi Ishihara). And Ryuhei swears off his rough-and-tumble ways. But first the two will have to get past a pesky, loud-mouthed loanshark (Daisuke Miyagawa) and a tenacious street gang. Can these two break free from a life of hard knocks and hear the laughter?
