Synopsis

Chara (Angeliki Papoulia) loves her husband and daughter, yet often ponders a life without them. She refuses to have any contact with her own mother who left the family when she was a young girl, yet secretly watches her live her life. Unable to talk to anybody about her internal turmoil, and silently terrified of following in her mother’s footsteps, Chara carries the burden of guilt and confusion by herself.

When Melina (Joy Rieger), a solitary high school student with signs of a troubled home life, starts an internship at her office, Chara embarks on a self-assigned mission of preventing Melina’s life from mimicking her own. When her personal and professional life starts unravelling in front of her, Chara is forced to come to terms with her own existential angst and – moreover – with the fact that a mother is allowed to feel a wide range of emotions, including regret.
