Daniel´s childhood is interrupted by the death of his father and the absence of his alcoholic mother who is in complete denial. He tries to assimilate his father´s return as a corpse that sits at the table once again.

A family tries to recover after the sudden death of the father. Carmen, the mother, a victim of depression, is incapable of accepting the loss and tells her children that their father will return. For a boy like Daniel this means a corpse will return to fulfill the role of his father. Ana, the oldest daughter, aware of her mother ́s addiction, experiences a profound rejection towards adult life. The two children accompany each other trying to understand and process what death has brought into their lives.
