Synopsis

THE TALENTED KOREAN TENOR, BAE JAE-CHUL, WHO PENETRATES THE AUDIENCE’S HEARTS THROUGH HIS DELICATE AND POWERFUL SINGING, IS ON THE RISE TO STARDOM AT THE EUROPEAN OPERA SCENE. KOJI SAWADA, A JAPANESE MUSIC PRODUCER, IS SEARCHING FOR A NEW TENOR FOR AN UPCOMING PERFORMANCE. HE WATCHES A PERFORMANCE OF BAE JAE-CHUL AND IS AMAZED THAT AN ASIAN CAN ACTUALLY SING BETTER THAN MOST EUROPEAN SINGERS. SAWADA INVITES JAE-CHUL TO JAPAN, WHICH MARKS THE BEGINNING OF A GREAT FRIENDSHIP.
BUT AFTER A SUCCESSFUL SEASON OF PERFORMANCES, THE TRAGEDY OF THYROID CANCER STRIKES JAE-CHUL. DURING AN OPERATION, THE NERVES OF HIS VOCAL CORDS HAS TO BE CUT DUE TO THE WIDELY SPREAD CANCER. UNFORTUNATELY, JAE-CHUL, WHO WAS ONCE SO PASSIONATE AND AMBITIOUS, ENDS UP LOSING HIS VOICE AT THE PEAK OF HIS CAREER.
SAWADA CAN’T STAND TO WATCH JAE-CHUL FALL APART INTO A STATE OF HOPELESSNESS AND SO HE STARTS TO LOOK FOR A SOLUTION TO RECOVER HIS VOCAL ABILITIES. EVENTUALLY, SAWADA FINDS OUT THAT DR. ISSHIKI IS A VETERAN DOCTOR WHO PERFORMS A SPECIFIC SURGERY FOR VOCAL CORDS RESTORATION, WHICH COULD POSSIBLY CURE JAE-CHUL’S VOICE. SAWADA’S PERSUASION LEADS JAE-CHUL TO UNDERGO THE OPERATION TO OVERCOME THIS TRAGIC INCIDENT. THE SURGERY GETS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED.
ALTHOUGH HIS VOICE IS NOT FULLY RECOVERED, JAE-CHUL REGAINS HOPE TO CONTINUE HIS LOVE FOR MUSIC. JAE-CHUL STARTS REHABILITATION WHILE SAWADA PREPARES A NEW CONCERT WITH A SPECIAL STAGE FOR HIM.
BUT AN UNEXPECTED OCCURRENCE HAPPENS RIGHT BEFORE THEIR EYES…
