Synopsis

In 1881, as the railroad is being built, a ruthless cartel buys up the land ahead of the tracks from farmers and sells it to the railroad company for tremendous profit. If negotiations stall, the solution is HARRIS: a merciless assassin who “eliminates” the problem. But when he kills the wrong man, Harris is hunted down and left for dead. He miraculously awakens after a month-long coma with no memory of who he is. CLARA, the woman who tended to him, tells him he’s James Holden; a simple farmer and her loving husband. With no reason to disbelieve her, James embraces his new life and becomes a pillar of his community. But the truth can only be hidden for so long. And when James’ farm finds itself in the path of the oncoming railroad, the past literally comes back to haunt him.
