Fons la Chepa lives in NY and hates his dominican roots, he is also a very lucky guy but is not aware of it. He lives a life that is just fine for him, cleaning fish and smelling like one. A violent confrontation between the DEA, the CALI Colombian Cartel, and the CALI Lithuanian Cartel, explodes all around him, and they all believe, wrongly, that Fons is somehow involved in the disappearance of more than a million dollars and a load of drugs. Back in the Dominican Republic, Fons falls in love with his cousin Fonsina, and at the same time, without knowing it, is chased with sophisticated electronic devices throughout the Dominican highest and coldest mountains. A series of funny persecutions leaded by a fighting cock continuously eludes him, and make the chasers madder and madder, until a final showdown puts everything in perspective, and Fons rediscovers his beloved and long forgotten island, along with the love of his life.
