Doing “it” or not doing “it”, that is the question for leading man Tommy. His long time girlfriend Maria is ready to take the leap from fumbling touches and making out to the real thing. Tommy on the other hand works part time as an altar boy with clergy in his genes and has an old-fashioned idea of sex. Best buddy Ahmed is Tommy’s complete opposite; on his spare time he writes erotic stories for sleazy magazines, something he hides from his strict muslim parents and starts an anarchistic study group for self-worshiping. Tired of waiting, Maria dumps Tommy for the school hunk, and Tommy is forced to confront his beliefs and ideals of love. Tommy’s Inferno is a fast-paced drama comedy. With its unconventional characters and a plot that suddenly shifts from comedy to tragedy, the film hits the spot on Norwegian teenage culture and the deception of the grown-up world.
