Stefan Stricker, who calls himself Juwelia, runs a gallery in Berlin's Neukölln district. Every weekend he invites people over to tell them stories about his life and to sing the lyrical songs he has written with a friend from Hollywood. Along with Juwelia, we meet other residents of Neukölln: Androgynous Cuban singer-dancer Joaquin la Habana, who lives with his husband. Syrian singer Enana, who hopes for a liberal full life as a lesbian after fleeing to Berlin. Over the past five years, large areas of Neukölln have been gentrified and hipster-fied - but will its real people survive the process?
