Based on the Luis Urquiza’s testimony, ex-cop, ex-detained-disappeared in Cordoba, Argentina, during the last military dictatorship from 1976 to 1983. This testimony is the basis of the journalist Mariano Saravia’s book The Blue Shadow.

Synopsis

In 1976, the year that started the last ferocious Argentina's military dictatorship, for still unexplained reasons, a young policeman is accused of belonging to the ERP- Montoneros, a guerrilla group that operated at the time. He is tortured by his former teammates and is detained for two years as a political prisoner. After survive the brutal prison conditions and gets parole, he manages to escape to Brazil; Denmark grants him asylum and he lives fifteen years in Conpenhague
When he returns to Argentina in 1994, in democracy, he discovers that some of those police who tortured him not only remain working but are senior officials. Supported by Human Rights Organizations, Urquiza requires the government to dismiss those officers, but he recieves death threat for him and his family. The government does not act with needed severity against his former oppressors, the threats are increasing and, given the danger to his life again, Danish government turns to give him political asylum, making him the only political exiled under the democracy in Argentina.
