Aquí y Ahora (Here and Now) is a Costa Rican drama that takes place in San José. Lara is a modern dancer who´s insecure about her talent but lives for her craft. She shares her life with her mother and grandmother, with whom she has a very close bond. Lara auditions to join a dance company in Berlin, her ultimate dream.

While Lara works on her audition’s process, she meets Ernesto, an optimist biologist who is completely attached to Costa Rica. His passion is the cloud forest of Monteverde and since the moment they meet, they instantly connect and fall in love.

However, Lara is offered the scholarship to go to Berlin for three years and with this, her life changes completely. The world as she knows it is no longer the same and as her departure date approaches, Lara understands that going to Berlin means to leave behind everything that makes her country her home. This professional dream for which she has worked so much for, becomes an internal conflict that pushes her evaluate her priorities and understand herself like never before.
