Kondo, a young 30-year-old Japanese businessman, wakes up on a beach he’s never seen after a huge earthquake. During an attempt to get back to normality he meets peculiar characters who help him understand where he is. Meanwhile, his father, who is immersed in loneliness and the business world, seeks a new way of carrying on. Despite the distance that separates them, both manage to make peace with their pasts and find new ways forward
