Monumental tells the story of two friends, Steve and Clayne, who journey out onto the open road to spread the ashes of Steve's recently deceased mother. The key stops on their trip are some of the greatest monuments in the United States- places that Steve's mother loved but never had the chance to see in person. Along the way they encounter a slew of bizarre characters and dangerous situations that force them to question their own ideals and their life-long friendship. Marital strife, hostile locals, jail time, old secrets and a demolition derby all threaten to derail their trip… and possibly their lives.
