Synopsis

GHETTO is a modern Romeo & Juliet-story. A dramatic and tense love-drama between two young lovers – the Jewish, 27-year-old security guard Shmuli (David Dencik) and Amina, a Pakistani female owner of a corner shop.
Shmuli is a day dreamer who tragically lost his young wife, and now lives alone with his 5-year-old son at his parents place in a small apartment in Copenhagen. Their lives are dramatically changed, when one day love’s unexpected bolt of lightning strikes him, in the shape of the beautiful young Pakistani Amina. Love blossoms, but conflicts simmer from within both families – threatening to burst into flames.
