Synopsis

My Father’s Garden is a compelling love story from the best selling novel with the same name of Jan Siebelink.
Holland, 1920s. Hans is raised in a religious community in the middle of nowhere. To escape his harsh and unforgiving father, Hans runs away from home and finds peace in the arms of Margje, which turns out to be the love of his live. Hans starts his own small business selling plants and flowers. He enjoys his marriage and Margje gives him a beautiful son, Ruben.
But when his business starts to fall apart Hans is unable to support his family. He is haunted by the ghost of his father in his dreams. When his second son dies just after birth, Hans is convinced that this is a sign from God to answer his calls.
