There are several stories in Cebu that tell of a woman able to change into the form of an animal… an aswang. This is Lily. But one day, the stories stop. No one would have seen or heard of her, leading to the belief that Lily is dead.


It is 1998 in Tuburan, Cebu. Mario meets a beautiful and mysterious girls in the woods—Lily. He is instantly attracted and ends up impregnating her. They try to live together as a family. But all ends in tragic violence.

In a heated argument, Mario accidentally kills their baby. And when Lily fought back, Mario hacked her in the face with an axe. Realizing what he had done, Mario flees to Manila to escape the killing of his family.

But Lily is still alive, though she is no longer the same. Her once beautiful face is now disfigured by a hideous scar. Enraged with the death of her child, Lily is determined to make Mario pay.

Lily travels around the province searching for Mario. She will do everything to find him—even if it means killing those in her way. And so in every town she passes, she leaves behind frightening tales of fear, all building up to the myth that Lily is an aswang.

Many years pass. Mario now works as a security guard in a subdivision in Manila. He is tormented by his conscience even if he has found a new love with Jane, a bar girl, now pregnant with his child. But Mario isn’t ready to start a family again. He is haunted by the memory of Lily. He sees her hacked face wherever he goes. Until the haunting turns real—Lily has arrived in Manila. Mario is forced to face the wrath of his “undead” wife.
