Synopsis

FISH is a feature film that crosses the artistic work of Luís Capucho. Presents the story of a singular artist who survived the time that the HIV represented the stigma of death. Building an amazing work of poetic power post disease, Capucho surpasses the physical sequels that have left him mute and without part of his body movements, untill the current partial recovery. We cross hybrid aesthetic resources of fiction and documentary in an autobiographical narrative of an artist who tells his own story through books, paintings, music and a daily blog. We pursue Luis Capuchos’s language, his visceral and simple art, mixing his biography to the recreated characters who frequent porn cinemas and his universe. Such scenes are told from a trip in search of his unknown father and the peregrination to his deceased mother and their memories in Our Lady Aparecida Cathedral. A film that deeply dialogues with Luís Capucho, and brings an important story of overcoming.
