Mysteriously gifted with the ability to hear the thoughts of others and to manipulate the physical world, 8 year-old Simon has a vision of a deadly encounter between an old family friend and a deluded killer. He recklessly dashes through the streets of Edinburgh to try and stop the confrontation in the local Catholic church. Ultimately Simon's gifts are not enough to save the day and he must decide if the every day world is truly ready for someone with his powers.
