50-year-old housewife, Emma, is a woman of the golden age, with two grown children, a house with a garden, and a husband. Everything is great — until her husband decides to divorce her in search of his own sexual awakening. In order to be financially independent, Emma starts her frustrating job search and lands a job as a sales manager in a sex shop. While exploring her new career, she quickly realizes the typical products in the shop are not made for women, and decides to revamp the store into an “erotic boutique for women and everyone who loves women.” Emma also develops friendships with some of her female customers and undertakes a journey in search of her own orgasm, which she has lost over the years. Not only does she gains new insights out of the traditional notions of female sexuality, her attitude about her life and her husband has also changed. Her husband, on the other hand, is now more attracted to Emma since she starts to go her own way (sexually). But when her husband wants her back, Emma has to decide whether to embrace her new life or salvage their marriage.
