Synopsis

Against the tumultuous backdrop of Iran’s 1953 CIA-based coup d’état, four women find independance and solace in a methaphorical orchard garden. Acclaimed video artist Shirin Neshat makes her directorial debut with the big screen representation of this major historic event, which led to the rise of religious fanatiscism in the region.
