“In the City Without a Compass” becomes the meeting point for two foreigners that have lost the way to their dreams. Anna is a Hungarian immigrant and Pascual is a foreigner of his own life. Both cross their paths in order to remind what really matters to them.

The main theme of the story is: the change. Pascual has no courage to change himself and he is used to losing his well-being in order to help others, that way he is living in the apparent comfort because of the fear of the unknown. But a change occurs suddenly when his father dies. This situation reverts to his daily life, forcing him to take control of his own life, to undertake a journey towards his personal growth and in search of masculinity. Pascual meets Anna (Hungarian woman), who in spite of the cultural differences also resists change. Through this love relationship both characters serve as a “mirror” for each other and provide the necessary courage to change their attitudes and to become two different people. "In the City Without a Compass" also talks about immigration, belonging, resignation and loneliness. Within the current context, urban life is confronted with the rural and the local with the foreign. It is a very simple, realistic and positive story.
