Life isn't getting any easier for New York police detective, Ray Pluto. He's a good cop with a bad run of luck, and things don't get any better when his back goes out during a shoot-out and he becomes the laughingstock of the police force. His only friend and partner, Jerry Cubbins convinces him to see a chiropractor, Dr. Ann Beamer. From the first click of his back, the sparks start to fly between them, and over several treatments they become far more than doctor and patient. With his "physical" life back on track, Pluto sets out to regain his detective reputation and self-respect.
