Following the death of her two children in April 1913, the legendary dancer, Isadora Duncan, created a soloentitled "Mother" in which, in a moment of extreme tenderness, a mother cradles her child one last timebefore letting him go.In contemporary France, four women encounter the dance piece "Mother" a dancer who tries to interpret the solo is deeply touched; a choreographer prepares an adaptation of the piece to be danced by a down-syndrome teenager; an old lady attends a performance of the solo alone and is moved to tears.
