Synopsis

Alice is left untouched by the death of her father. She hadn’t seen him in years and his memory is not one she wishes to linger on. But his affairs need attention and she is drawn to the village in Switzerland where she grew up.
Far away from the usual cares of her world the village seems like a rural idyll but soon reveals itself to be the key to Alice’s childhood heartbreak. She befriends a small boy, Nicola, who suffers from epilepsy. He sees the harsh adult world around him through the lens of his digital camera. With this he captures intimate images of his parent’s divorce and his sister’s descent into isolation.
With the help of Nicola and the other characters in the village, Alice embarks on a journey of self discovery that will show her that one can try to run away from mistakes but the demons lurking in the soul will always catch up with you.
