An untouched cafe sits on the bar table in front of Ana. This is a town of hunters. A mountain border town. In the street she sees women, girls. They get in and out of the cars that go by. They smile, flirt, and stop smiling to start over again with the next car. A waiter talks to her. Ana doesn’t listen, she looks out the window. She can’t stop looking. In the distance the girls/women talk into the cars that pass, they get in and out of them. One of them moves away from the others. She needs space. Another one goes over to her. They argue. The girl/woman, woman/girl returns to the street. A car draws up. The girl smiles again. Ana can’t stop watching.
