A half human, half yokai hero Kitaro and his buddies, performed by returning cast members, investigate a series of mysterious disappearance. They find out that it is somehow related with the “forbidden love” tragedy which occurred 1,000 years ago. Behind these incidents, there was conspiracy by the evil yokai and his followings. As Kitaro fights against these enemies, he also goes through an internal conflict over his identity. Will Kitaro be able to shutter the vicious cycle and bring love and peace to the world?
