Synopsis

Lima, 2001. The Military Amnesty Law that pardoned those convicted of crimes against humanity during the country’s internal war against terrorism is on the verge of being overturned. Perro (Dog), a former member of a paramilitary group freed by said law, works as an assassin-for-hire for a certain sector of the militia. He lives alone in a dingy room that he leaves only to communicate with his superiors and fulfill his assignments.
One particular job leads him to the Church of the Soldiers of Christ. Amongst prayers and cries for salvation, Perro meets Apóstol (the Apostle), the cult’s leader, who seems to exceed Perro in wisdom and who attempts to bring the soldier into the comforting light of his religious fervor. During his visits to the congregation, Perro also meets Milagros, an adolescent for whom he begins to feel a strange sort of attraction.
Even when the job that lead him to the church is abruptly cancelled, Perro continues to visit the chapel and silently watches out for Milagros. His increased involvement in her life transforms Perro from the cold, distant killer he once was into someone whose violent assignments begin to weigh on his conscience. He begins to seek justification for the murders he commits and, consequently, his weapon begins to transform itself into a sword of God.
