Synopsis
“Pedro Through The Blue Ocean” tells the story of Brazil’s first emperor, returning to Europe on board the English ship Warspite.
Pedro has no money and no emotional strength. He’s being discredited by everyone around him. He is no longer Emperor of Brazil and… his dick is not working. Pedro became a king without country, subjects, religion and women. But even without any perspective, Pedro makes his plans for the future: he will declare life or death war against his brother in order to crown his daughter, D. Maria da Glória, queen of Portugal.
The long crossing through the Atlantic ocean, with changing winds, tropical storms and calmness that feels like hell, takes two months. The trip makes Pedro conquer his fears and face his life from a personal point of view. Talking with the English captain, with the cooker, the doctor, his wife, his daughter and 6 slaves, he goes back in time and relives outstanding moments of his earlier life - since his childhood, when in 1808 he arrived coming from Portugal with his family, until he left in the dead of the night, in 1831, running away from Brazil.
