Synopsis

After purchasing a beautiful cul-de-sac house out of foreclosure, couple BETH and DANIEL are in the middle of a casual housewarming party when a group of escaped prisoners who previously lived there violently barge in. Distraught that they lost their childhood home, the three prisoners, who are also brothers, call their mother. MOTHER, an imposing but seemingly nurturing woman, arrives at the house and takes control of the situation immediately. Mother suspects that Beth and Daniel have stolen money that was meant for her but sent to the old home address. She promises that no one will be hurt so long as they comply, and her motherly warmth initially wins them over as planned. They deny it vehemently, so Mother is then forced to confirm her suspicions through manipulation and brutal force. One by one, Beth’s friends fight for their lives as she tries to buy as much time as possible for someone to escape and call the police. Beth manages to escape for a short time and returns home to more murder and chaos, all by the hands of Mother, who has finally discovered the money. Beth exacts revenge by killing two of her sons and freeing what is left of the group. After a valiant attempt to also kill Mother, Beth loses the battle and she manages to escape with one son and her daughter, burning the house down in the process. Six months later, Beth has a child with her surviving friends by her side. Much to Beth’s horror, her baby is stolen by Mother from the hospital. It’s on…
