Synopsis

Spring 1947 in the south west of France, 12 year old Pierrot and his little brother live at the Cafe du Pont. His mother and father work long hours at the busy cafe, a favourite spot for the local workers and fishermen.
This gives Pierrot ample time to while away the afternoons fishing in the canal playing or visiting his grandmother. Since the German occupation, Pierrot’s family struggled to make ends meet like many. Despite all of the work the cafe brings, Pierrot’s father dreams of building a grand ballroom
in the village.
