Objective :
As an all-rights content manager, Umbrella Entertainment licenses and distributes content both locally and internationally across all distribution platforms including: Theatrical, Non-Theatrical, Ancillary, Pay TV, Free TV, Pay-Per-View, Home Video including DVD & Blu-ray (Rental and Retail) and new technology such as Download to Own, Download to Rent, Streaming and Wireless.
Umbrella Entertainment manages first-run theatrical releases that complement the classic library with fresh, contemporary titles. Our releases include prestigious international features and a growing slate of Australian titles, with a strong focus on innovative local productions.
Umbrella’s team distributes films to key cinema chains and independent cinemas in Australia and New Zealand and manages all aspects of distribution and logistics with specific understanding of the technical complexities of a theatrical release covering prints and digital formats.
Umbrella supports each release with a committed Print and Advertising budget to enhance each film’s box office and profile and has developed strategies to maximise exposure in an increasingly crowded marketplace. Umbrella’s website is used to deliver specific marketing and publicity campaigns to all users of the site via the use of promotions, trailers and links to social networking sites such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitter in addition to Umbrella’s large e-mail subscriber base.
Umbrella’s ever expanding catalogue of over 1500 titles spans many genres, including classic Australian film and TV titles, landmark World cinema, Horror films, Television series, Music and contemporary Australian and International film.
One of Umbrella’s key areas of speciality is in bringing classic and nostalgic Australian film and TV content to life by updating original material into High Definition and Standard Definition transfers for all current and future technologies and distribution platforms.
