Synopsis

AWOL Black Operative US soldier, Warrant Officer Malcolm Gray, is a member of a covert international counter terrorist unit. Ghosts to all but those that give their orders, this unit functioned around the world extinguishing threats with minimal political fallout.
Whilst undertaking highly secretive missions under the code name ‘Dark Hammer’, Malcolm’s unit is ambushed and slaughtered leaving him the sole survivor. Captured and brutally tortured for weeks on end, Malcolm barely escapes with his life and though he is badly wounded, the toll on his mind and sanity is far greater, and already struggling with the demons of his past actions, this is the final straw that pushes Malcolm over the edge.
On the run, and locked away in a dead end hotel room, Malcolm has a score to settle with his brother Darnell Gray Jnr., an African American US senator and rising star in politics. Darnell and Malcolm are opposites, despite fighting on what seems to be the same side of the fence. Darnell is a hard line politician who is motivated primarily by power and control. His policies for the US nation are based on an underlying fear in the populace at large, and it appears that he has all but forgotten his and Malcolm’s humble beginnings in a Brooklyn ghetto.
Malcolm, haunted by the actions of his unit, blames his brother for what he has been forced to do, and despite his fragmented and unsettled mind is determined to take revenge. For Malcolm, his goals are personal, and the conflicts he has fought are only a catalyst for the rage towards the brother that he feels let him down.
As the walls close in, the tension and heat build to boiling point, and Malcolm realises that journalist Danielle Shaw holds the key to getting his story out to the masses. But Malcolm must first face down his brother, his demons and the woman he loves, because for Malcolm, a man’s legacy is no more than the sum of his actions, and if that is the case, he has a lot to make up for...
